Palo Alto and the Bay Area Golf Courses

Palo Alto Golf Course. The Palo Alto Golf Course facility consists of a 18-hole championship course, lighted driving range, restaurant and bar, banquet facilities, stocked golf shop, practice putting green area and golf carts with canopy tops. The Palo Alto Golf Club plays a traditional game with its fair share of wind and open, long fairways. Group and individual lessons are available from their qualified staff, and clubs and pull cart rentals are available. Reservations can be made seven days in advance for non-residents. Shoreline Golf Links. Adjacent to San Francisco Bay in the City of Mountain View, California, Shoreline Golf Links is an 18-hole, championship-level golf course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, the course challenges s golfers with numerous bunkers and doglegs. The buffer zone of windswept land is part of Mountain View's Shoreline Park, which also features a sailing lake, bicycle and jogging trails and open spaces. Play on the course occurs generally from dawn to dusk, as tee times are scheduled in relation to sunrise (5:40 AM in mid-June and 6:50 AM in mid-December) and sunset (8:00 PM in mid-June and 4:50 in mid-December). Stanford University Golf Course. The Stanford University Golf Course was designed in 1930 by renowned golf course architects William Bell and George C. Thomas, Jr. Located in the foothills above the Stanford University Campus, the golf course is consistently rated one of the finest courses in the world.
